Ok here is the full question
Is it possible to have more then one personal server accessed through the linksys befsx41 cable/dsl firewall router, using a dynamic ip address?
These are the steps ive actually tried along with some variations of said actions.
Fist let me say i can access one server with no problems as long as i use a dynmamic client to actually do the ip update to dyndns.org.
I can acess both servers i am trying to get to through the router. But only if i make the settings for one machine not both.i can access both through a hub at the same time. If i use the router (as i have both options the hub and the router) all i can do is access one at a time if i change the settings in the forwarding admin page settings for the router.
If i configure the httpd config files to listen on different ports it seems to have no affect what so ever regardless what they are. If i configure the router forwarding page to use HTTP with different ports in the area for personal application setup, along with the proper ip designation (192.168.1.what ever) for the machine im trying to now activate. The default HTTP still remains in effect. Disrgarding any personal application designation settings.
Thus still only alowing me to access only one not both the servers.
So after spending several days trying to use linksys website to find answers. With no positiver results on this issue, and spending near 20 total hours messing around with this. I have begun the search for answers.
Can anyone shed light on this subject with details.
Pleas provide details for this issue not links to info. As i am not a true techniction just a home user.
It is a unfortunate thing that as a consumer you are treated as well lets be polite cattle. Companies need to change there attitudes on how they deal with there clients more honesty and transparency from there tech departments to there executives
