I have to convert Access 97 to Access 2002. Since the database of 97 is secured in a workgroup, I can not convert it into 2002 by wizard. So I have to manually export each table (query,form, report…) into Acees 2002 database, which won’t be secured by any workgroup.

Can you tell me an easier way to export all these objects?

Thanks for your help.

Have you tried importing from the new database, rather than exporting from the current one? If it lets you, you can do a select all when doing an import.

Yes!
Since the database in 97 is secured in a workgroup, it won't let me do importing from non-workgroup database. I usually do manually as follows:
1. join the workgroup
2. open the desired workgroup, then one by one export the table(form, query...) to an newly created database(still 97 version but without workgroup)
3. then create blank database(2002), from which I can import all the table,etc from the database mentioned above in No.2
of course, change the references and it works

You could do this the other way around;

join a new 2002 Db and join the 97 workgroup. Than import from the 97 DB.

Or,

just open the 97 workgroup db, hit ctrl+n (yes, create a new db). in the new db import all needed opjects from the protected DB. than exit this new db and import/convert it with access2002.
