I inherited an Access Database that has existing import spec files. I need to edit one ... is this possible ( and if so how would I go about doing this) or do I have to create a new one? The reason I would like to edit the exisiting one is that there are several modules that are connected to the import file!
Thanks!

Make sure that "Hidden Objects" and "System Objects" view is enabled, Tools>Options>View.

Table MSysIMEXSpecs contains the general specifications, eg SpecName, SpecID, FileType, DateOrder etc.

Table MSysIMEXColumns holds the individual fields.

You cannot edit in the tables directly but in a query of the table(s).
