Hi all,

Just got a request to automate Day End process from a custom app. Is it possible to detect if all users are out of Sage 300 in VBA?

Thanks in advance.

And unless they're doing heavy IC or OE work during day-end, they don't have to be out.

If you want to schedule a day end process it could help if you send out an email notification to everyone in your office. This could also be sent to peoples phones if they have their work email on their phone. You can also mention in the email for them to reply A.S.A.P and then just collect all of the responses.

Or, If your company uses google you can message each other within the email app and create a "Day End Group" that everyone can message to say if they are ready or if they are working on an order.

I know at my company day ends sometimes can be a bit of a pain if someone is working on an order and has not had a chance to post it yet. (They lose everything that they had added)

Lastly, If none of the above work you could get your company to download some kind of office chat app. Almost like messenger.

And in Sage you can see who is online:

You click "help", and then "current users" and a list will pop up which will show you who is online.

As far as macro's go : Link This is a forum that has problems and solutions. ( might help )
