I have hold win98 computers on my network, and VS7.1 doesnt' work on it.

I know ePO no longuer support VS 4.5n but does it supports 4.5.1 , and how to deploy it. In the deployement task it doesn't appear so I can't select "install"

Thanks for your help

Hi there,

You need to download the VirusScan v4.5.1 package for ePO 3.
Add the package to the repository and you will be able to deploy VirusScan v4.5.1 via the deployment task.

You can set your deployment task to install both VS451 and VSE7x.
On systems that will support VSE, VSE will install, on systems which don't VS451 will install.

We have our deployment task set to install VSE, VS451 and NetShield.

There are issues with the deploying the ePO 3 agent to Win9x.
Have you addressed these?

Great ! thanks very much

My VS4.51 package was too old I didn't have the .z file in it. So I download it from NAI and it's working fine now. I can select to install VS4.51 the same way as VS7.1.

Right now I have no issue with the ePO agent on this computers (only 2)
agent version is 3.1.2.242 for W98 and 3.1.2.257 for NT W2K XP

But I don't know if the deployement task will work, it is not done yet.

Thanks again

Guillaume
