Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to create/delete partitions on a POWER5 based machine wihtout using the graphical tool of the HMC (wsm).
I know how retrieving information from the HMC without the UI, but I don't know if we can modify or create partitions ?
Any ideas ?
Tks.

Hi

There are a lot of Commands on Commandline to Perform Operations on Partitions.

You can create, delete, boot Partitions on Commandline.

Logon as hscroot over ssh to the hmc and check the commands.

man mksyscfg
