I just bought an external firewire drive and was wondering if it's possible to backup to this drive rather than a tape drive? I noticed in device configuration you can select "external disk", but it doesn't have my firewire (or any other local disk) listed as an option. Any ideas? Thanks for any help!

This can only be done with Linux, and with Enterprise Backup.

I am unsure however as to the possibility of a work around to make ARCserve 2000 backup to file system.

Let me know if you find a way,

thanks,

Is it not possible to do an Arcserve copy to your external drive depending on how it is configured and where it is connected to? -----------------------------------------------------
