Is it possible to assign a category to all attachments in a workflow

Hello.

I have a workflow which user will attach several attachments, and I need to assign the same category to every attachments. But it seems that Item Handler only can assign a category to an object which is known already. Since I don't know what document the user will attach, how should I define the Item Handler. Is there any dynamic replacement tags I can use?

Any help is appreciated.

Coding such as eventscripts,use of custom modules such as xmlworkflowextensions and several other partner products.OOB livelink wf does not know how to push down category using item handler.

have you considered applying the Category to the Attachment Folder itself so taht they are inherited down and can be set when a document is added to the attachment folder.
