Is it possible to access FrontPage offline? I know that if you click on a FP web page in MS Explorer it displays the page browser style. But if you try to access the page from anywhere else (ie. your desktop) and you are not connected to the internet you get bumkus.

Can you use VBA to get the web page to display in a brower? Should I be asking this in the VBA forum?

Thanks
Trudye

Not sure exactly what you're asking. You can work offline on your computer in FrontPage--you just need to make sure that you create subwebs on the computer for all the links to work properly. You can also view your offline page by simply going to File>Preview in Browser.

It sounds like you do not have IIS installed on your computer, therefore it can't act as a web host. If you are not connected to the internet and try to open a web page you have created, what error do you get? Do they only work if you are dialed up?

What happens if you get scared half to death twice?

Concerning IIS.. If you don't have that, have FP install the personal web server on your computer. Then, if you don't have the website in question fully copied on your computer, just go to the site, and publish the site to a location on your PC.
From then on, you can do all the design work on your computer until you're happy with it, and then publish the pages to the actual site. There is a publishing command that will update only the changed pages, which will save you publishing time.
