I'm curious to know if opening files in PM that are not stored on a local drive, that is, if they are stored on my organization's central file server and our publicity dept. needs access to these files, is file corruption as big an issue as adobe claims? Adobe only supports files saved to a local drive, but it seems reasonable that saving files to a network location within the program should be possible... Has anyone found a way to do this without the file corruption adobe claims is unavoidable?

Hi,

Your centrally organised computer network doesn't need the files while you are working on them. So I would suggest that you copy the file to your local drive, work on it and afterwards you copy the file again to the central computer.
The problem with opening files over the network is that the connection, the font use an so on can get very disorganised, so it isn't very save to work in this way.
