Is it Photoshop, the PC, or the network?

We have a PC, Win XP Pro SP1, utilizing Photoshop 7. The PC is used to do design work for ads that then are put out to localized, specific to certain communities, cable TV channels using Scala software. When the user tries to save files, to the network via a mapped drive, over 5MB she receives the message: "Could not save as 'PATH and FILENAME' because of a disk error". We can save the files locally, and copy them to the network drive.

The server has plenty of space, and other people have been able to save large files there.

I have checked the page file size, and it seems to be adequate: 2GB on its own partition.

Additionally, we can save large files from other applications. Any clues?

Does the file you are trying to save already exist on the shared drive? If so it may be a permissions error, you may not have the permission to delete or overwrite files.
