We have a database being designed that will have a Coldfusion interface to access and Access database. Currently the plan is to load both the database and Coldfusion on our only file server. Should I get a web server? What are the potential problems that might occur if I place the database and the web application on our file server?

Thanks,

Jax

Of course, it would be best if it had its own machine. If you are using access, then having it all on the same machine shouldn't be a problem. (but I am not a big fan of using Access for production databases -- if you are using SQL Server, then I usually suggest putting that on a different machine)

It really all depends on the machine (how much ram, processors, etc) you are putting it on and how many people will be using it. (5,10, 100?)
