Is it ok to install Outlook 2000 on my Exchange 2000 server? 1

Hello -

I am trying to back up my exchange 2000 mailboxes with backupexec 8.6 . I need to have a MAPI mail client installed. They recomend using Outlook. I thought that I heard somewhere that this caused problems. Any input? Thanks.

You can install it. It can cause problems with System Manager but there are work arounds. I have it installed with no problem. See

I've also go Outlook 2000 running for use by backup exec 8.6 and have no problems.
