Dear All

Praying for your good health..

Is it necessary to install cr10 on workstations also or we can install it on the server and can use it by local network.

Thanks

You can use Crystal Enterprise or RAS on a server to allow users to run reports with just a browser.

Alternatively, you can install a Crystal viewer application on each PC that needs to just run the reports. For a list of 3rd-party viewers, see:

Hi,
In direct answer to your question, No..To try to use CR that way would likely be a violation of the license..It is not licensed as a multi-user app..( The run-time components can be set up that way, but not the designer itself, afaik)

Hi,,

What would be the solution if the company have more than 50 workstations under one roof, it means we have to install cr on every computer. I need some easy procedure to connect all the computers with server and can enjoy the features of the cr.

Thanks

If you require all 50 users to be able to design reports then you need to purchase a new copy of CR for each person and install the software on the local PC.

If the requirement is for users to be able to run and view predesigned reports then there are many options available. already mentioned above.

Use Crystal Enterprise, RAS, ASP to access via a browser, all of these ways can be researched on the Business Objects website at Or use report viewer installed on each PC as mentioned by IdoMillet's earlier post.

If you just want users to be able to look at the report output, you can export as Excel, Word, PDF etc. Use the Export icon, the envelope with the downward red arrow.
