Hi Guys & Gals,
I want to use MTS Components in my client-server application,so Is it compulsary to install MTS in client and server, can some one give the solution.

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

bye,
Vans.

NO . .. you do not have to nor do you want to install MTS on the client machine. MTS only goes on the server and all of your components go there. You then export the packages from MTS and run the client.exe program on the client machine so that you can use the MTS components. If you want to skip the client.exe part, you can run all of your objects Late Bound and then your client does not need to have any configuration done to its registry. Personally, I don't normally use Late Binding, but it is an option. - Jeff Marler B-)

Hi there ,
how do you setup MTS on Windows2000 server ?
I checked the components setup, my MSDN subsrciption CDs, services etc I cant find it

Thanks

You don't install MTS on Win2000 . . . you use Component services which is/will be replacing MTS. - Jeff Marler B-)
