Is installing standalone access 2007 with older versions of office bad?

There are a couple of computers here with older versions of office and no version of access. So, we could upgrade to Office 2007 pro, but if we have to, is it a bad idea to only purchase/install Access 2007 and install that along side an old version?

One last thing: Sometimes I wonder; "Is that someone's signature? Or do they type that at the end of each post?

I don't see a problem with it. I have a PC with Office 2000 Developer plus Access 2007, with no problems.

Agree with pbaldy. The only caveat is to ensure that you don't install two different versions of other Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc) as switching between them causes problems in that they both try and reinstall themselves at startup if they weren't the last version run.
