Hi All networkers,
I have been testing Ciscoworks2000 (LMS 2.6) especially Device Fault Manager (DFM 2.0.6). It´s a good basic management tool. I have tested what happens with routers in redundancy situations using two routers configured with HSRP (Hot Standby Routing Protocol) when the HSRP traps is sent/generated from the routers (1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.106.2 A cHsrpStateChange notification is sent when a cHsrpGrpStandbyState transitions to either active or standby state, or leaves active or standby state. There will be only one notification issued when the state change is from standby to active and vice versa.). I know that the trap have reached DMF because I use the forward trap configuration feature and copy it to another SNMP trap receiver. I can see nothing in DMF, no alert, no events. I was at least expecting it to be reported as an informational Pass-Through SNMP Unidentified Trap. Other events in the router as line up/down is reported and works.
Any tip or answer is appreciated. Thanks!
