Is flash mx better than flash 5?

I'm using flash 5 to make a cd-rom yearbook, But I can't import video into it. Using a trial version of Flash mx I can import videos with ease!! Is there an update for flash 5 that will let me import the same video formats that I can in Flash mx?

No and yes. No because there isn't an update per se. Yes because there is an update for Flash 5, it's called Flash MX (unfortunately). You'll have to get MX if you want that feature badly enough.
