I have an exchange server that is connected to the outside world via DSL.

I am using BlackICE to block most of the ports that exchange does not use.

Question: Is this secure enough ?

Any suggestions on how to improve security ?

Thanks !!

BlackIce in my opinion isn't secure enough for a personal PC. If you have the knowledge to set up a firewall, you should look into something that's configurable and a known solution. Zone Alarm is more secure than BlackIce per the reports I've seen. If you want to check your ports and netbios, go to and follow the links to Shields Up.

Also you need to setup you mail server to not allow mail relay or you will be a host for spammers to send from you. If you give me the name of your server or the ip I can test it for you.
