We have two separate offices, both with 2003 servers and a VPN between them. In the next couple of months, 3 more offices will join the business and we then have the question of how best to share files among all the offices. At the moment, it is a bit haphazzard with a combination of DropBox and the VPN for moving files around (these are mostly large image files, rather than Word docs, so I am not looking at an Office 365 type of solution), so a better system is needed as well as the potential for a more centralised backup.

So the simple question is is DFS still a good technology for this type of thing? I have never used it but it seems straightforward to set up.

Thanks.
