A program we use at church - Membership Plus used Crystal Reports in their version 4 - they answered my tech support question like this:

"Thank you for your inquiry and for choosing Mattel Interactive for your software needs.

Chrystal reports are not Y2K compliant so they cant be used now. I have forwarded your suggestions to development.

If we can be of further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Thank you again for being a Mattel Interactive customer.

Sincerely,

Natalie S. - Church Technical Support."

I cant believe that their information could be correct.
Please advise.

Basically, Crystal Reports can get its data from any number of databases, which may or may not be Y2K compliant. The application Membership Plus may use a non Y2K compliant database version, so therefore any reports from (or other use of) that database would not be Y2K compliant. [sig][/sig]

Natalie,

The current version of Crystal Reports is Y2K compliant, assuming that your data is Y2K compliant. Even older versions of Crystal were Y2K compliant in all important aspects. There were some minor unused features that were not compliant and these have been fixed. What version of Crystal are you using?
