Hi,

Does anyone knows if it is viable or feasible to implement a BCM hotstaging?
This is that it can be created a file in a BCM with the required configuration of the BCM, so that in another BCM in another site (for example, customer's site) this file can be uploaded and configure automatically the customer's BCM.
Maybe it could be possible through the NCM, but I'm not sure. Could anyone guide me?

Thanks!

We do this everyday when rolling out a new store or replacing a failed system we have a backup image we restore to BCM then change the IP's to whats needed then Site name also is updated as well. But for us this is more of a cooky cutting operation so all stores are identical makes for easier troubleshooting. Not sure about BCM450 as we have not seen one yet we run all BCM400's today. But if you are looking for this to be a remote solution do not think this can be done. This takes roughly 2 hours to implement Rls 3.5 to 3.7, Rls 4.0 is a lot faster though maybe an hour or a little longer. All patches must be installed as was in your backup image or it creates a unstable BCM might not even boot as we have seen in our experience.
