I just bought an Asus motherboard A7N8X Deluxe....and my homeboy was telling me to make sure I get version 2. I just got my board delivered Fedex but I don't see version 2 anywhere. Is there anyway I can tell without installing it. Because I don't want to go thru the hassel of installing it and it's not ver. 2. I'll just send it back. My homeboy is in jail now so I can't ask him. And I'm notinNEWYORK. Can someone help?

Hi,

From here:

The difference between 1.x and 2 is that the latter supports a 400MHz front side bus. If you have a 1.06 board the BIOS can be flash updated to support this feature.

YOu can tell the PCB version by looking at the actual board and it says that the version number is located next to the motherboard name.
