Is anyone aware of any way I can convert .doc files to .pdf on the fly, without forking out much money. I have seen the Adobe SDK and downloaded but I am lost as to how to use it.
I just want usere to be able to click a press link and read the story in pdf rather than have Microsoft Word appear in the browser.

the way to do it manually is to print the doc file in post-script file. Then pass the .ps file to the Adobe Acrobat Distiller, wich will create the pdf file.
If you are talking about doing the same things in ASP.NET then I don't know if that is possible, without buying an expensive tool...
