I'm trying to insert an Acrobat 5.0 file as an OLE Object in an MS Word document. I've followed the steps outlined in one of the kb articles on Adobe's website. It states that I can use Insert | Object in Word and select Adobe Acrobat Document as the object type. And, indeed, Adobe Acrobat Document is an option. But when I select this option and select the appropriate pdf file, all that comes into MS Word is an icon. I can double-click on the icon and edit the pdf file, but the file never displays or prints inside of Word. I've installed Acrobat 5.0 (the full product, not just the viewer) on my pc (running Win98) and used the "typical" installation option. Is there any way in which I can get the object to embed as a pdf document and not display just as an icon? (BTW, while I appreciate workarounds, I don't need an MS Word-specific solution as I also need to use OLE linking and embedding with Acrobat and other apps besides Word. So I really need Acrobat to behave as a proper OLE Server.) Thanks in advance!
