Is a recompile required to programs compiled under the line?

We are upgrading to DB2 V8 and currently have programs compiled with AMODE(24) or below the line. After we install the z/OS 64-bit virtual storage phase 3, is a recompile of the AMODE(24) required or will it run without problems?
