Has anyone had experience with sharing IRQs? I have a 3c590 and a 3c595-TX. They use the same driver in RH Linux 7.0 but it only detects 1 card (the new 1, 3c595-tx).

3com suggests setting the IRQ through the BIOS but I can only "reserve" IRQs with my BIOS. What am I reserving them for (ISA-EISA,USB,SCSII)???

I'm a little confused because I don't see an IRQ utility on the etherdisk for the cards. To be honest, I wouldn't even know how to install the card if RH doesn't detect it besides modifying modules.conf to set eth0 and eth1 and installing the modular driver. It didn't work the last time I tried it (they were ISA cards though).

I need LOTS of guidance...

Thanks

Ok...
I figured one part out.

The two NICS used seperate IRQs (10,11) so I can modify the modules.conf to reflect that. Is there anything else I would have to do to "install" the NIC?

thx
