IRAD queries (UK)

I have a UK Norstar Compact Plus (similar to US CISCs) Release 4.

Does the serial port on the built in irad work, if so, what are the pinouts?

I have also tried dialling in, get the CONNECT 300 or CONNECT 14400 type messages, then a RAD DID NOT RESPOND


What am I doing wrong?

Make sure software has it enabled.
If unsure post the SP version from mainttenance here or look at the FAQs tab above.

There is no serial port, hence "Internal" by way of dialup only.

You must have somebody on site transfer you to the IRAD via F817 while speaking with them on your modem phone.
or
Assign a private trunk and tell the IRAD to answer that trunk.

Maybe start at highest speed and work your way down.

There is alo Modem Fast or Slow setting if still an issue for bad lines or remote area's.

This is a UK system, thus not possible to tell from the software version (as far as I can tell).

What is the onboard serial port for then?
