I've installed an IQ on V5.8 on a windows 7 SP 1 machine. Got an issue with logging in, and it's really confusing me. I've ran out of ideas, and I'm hoping you guys can help.

Installed the IQ, patched, then logged in to the IQ with the default "mitel" username and password. All good so far. Licensed it successfully also. I added all the ports, everything was working ok. Later on, I came back to my IQ, and now I cannot log in. I get the incorrect username/password error. The weird thing is, I get the "mitel" username appear in the top right of the window though, as if I had logged in. The screen stays on the username/password entry screen though.

I've tried resetting the machine, restarting IQ services, running the config tool, all to no avail. I've cleared my internet history. I'm using IE8 btw.

Has anyone seen anything like this before, or could suggest anything else to try?

Thanks.

Do you know your product key (The long one). If so try renaming your iq.dlsc file to something like 'iq.dlsc.old'. Then run the license executable file that's in the same folder.

It should ask for your product key. Hopefully after you've done that it'll work.

I thought you needed to install IQ on Server, didn't think Windows 7 was supported or will even work.

From 5.8 (Or is it 6?) you can install it on a Windows 7 machine.

From 5.8 you can install IQ on Windows 7 SP1.

I tried renaming the iq.dslc file, and relicensed, but this made no difference. I ended up having to remove the IQ, clear my registry, and reinstall from scratch. Just glad I hadn't done any actual work on it other than adding the ports.

Thanks for your help though.

Both versions fo W7 supported? i.e 32 and 64 bit?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.
