Hello.

I work for a phone company providing service to a customer that has an IPX 2400. To make a long story short, they ahve 3 PRIs w/ approximately 1500 numbers pointing to them. I was wondering if it were possible to have one of their remote locations to "go out" as a specific DID, but only when they dial 911 (for address purposes). Otherwise they get pool lines.

Thanks in advance.

we were interested in doing something similar but the local telco told us that any number the we sent out the pri was shown as the location the pri was installed. They said there was an option called ps ally i think that was a computerized data base they kept with all your did's and where they were located.I was very expensive and needed constant updating. we ending puting one copper line into each location and sending 911 out those.

Thanks dd555. I will look into PS/ALI for our switch (Private Switch/Automatic Location Identification)

RE: copper lines... Did you hook those into your phone system, or did you just have one emergency phone? Did you use that line with any security system/fire alarm?
