Hi people,

I have a problem during an installation, S8710, 2xG650, one IPSI.
Something strange happens between S8710s and IPSI.....

List IPSI
Serv state: OUT
Control state: active
state of health C P E G: 0 1 1 0

List config all - does not find any boards in G650...

I can ping server from IPSI, and IPSI from server.
I can telnet to server from IPSI.

Any ideas ?

What we had to do is go through all of the steps, like test board, test IPserver, change data switch ports and cables, before Avaya would believe it was a faulty card.

There are some really good tests and checks in the Maintenance manual, available from the avaya site.

I have changed the IPSI
I have done NVRAM INIT on the switch, and did all the switch settings again
I have changed terminators on the backplane of G650
I have installed Communication Manager again
I checked all the cables

No success at all....

Yes, I have done that (IPSI is enabled)

what happens when you telnet on to ipsi and reset it?

maybe get avaya to check the logs and see what they say

check 'change circuit-pack' it might recongize it as a tone-clock only....might have to manually remove it and put in the ipsi card there to get it up...

What is your IPSI speed/duplex setting? What's your network switch speed/duplex?

Hi people,

Problem is solved. Both of control networks were on the same subnet. When I removed control network B, IPSI became operable.
Stupid, but this is my first S87xx installation....

Thanks,

The Curious
