ipsec manual PIX 501

i´m trying to configure a PIX-501 Firewall Version 6.1(4) (DES enabled)
with manual IPSec.

every time if i enter the command
'crypto map mymap 1 ipsec-manual'

i receive this:

'ipsec-manual mode is not allowed in this PIX.'

does anybody know why?
