Hi,

I have an issue with our speed calling system. We have several numbers which are programmed to be called from the Dterm stations for emergency purposes. However not all stations are able to call these numbers, only a few.
How can I enable all stations for speed calling to these numbers? I am able to use matworx and I do have the programming manual. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Check command 1202 for each of the stations, the ones that can will probably have the same setting. You can either change the ones that can't to the same setting or change Cmd 1506 for the restreiction class for the ones that can't

I have tried CM1202 for all stations and they all have the same setting. That is
1202>201:1515-
1202>202...400:1515

So all stations are programmed for service restriction class A,B.

is there anything else I need to check?

Thanks OzzieGeorge.

Yes.
1204>201...400:01

So we have all stations (200 to 400)on tenant 01?

thanks.

you use speed dial system 300
command
200>5>A067
71>Tenant>001020(20 memory SP)
72>001-019>9,No

the digital phone to used it much same with TENANT

Sorry OZZIEGEORGE, working out of office for the past weeks.

Our speed dial access code is 5.

200>0:A126
200>1:100
200>2:803
200>3:803
200>4:803
200>5:A067
200>6:NONE

Using cm1201 I have found out that the speed dial works only on unrestricted extensions. But does not work on semirestricted or restricted extensions as in the following extns.

1201>206:11
1201>207:55
1201>208:66

I should add that the called numbers on the speed dial are mobile numbers(for emergency). I have been tasked to change the settings so that all extensions are able to call these numbers whilst still maintaining their restriction patterns. How can I do that?

raiijala This is what I have,

71>00:000300
71>01:000300
71>02:000300

Could you explain? I'm not too knowledgeable.

Thanks alot for your responses.

Ok so things are a bit clearer now!

There are two possible solutions. One isn't to allow speed dial to override restrictions but there is a downside in that all users will be able to dial all system speed dial numbers. This is the easy option but I will have to check the book for the command.

The second option is to change the LCR to derestrict these numbers which is quite involved!

Which way do you want to go?

If you just want to relax restriction on system speed dials see Cmd 08 de 044 de it will be set to 1 change it to 0.

I'd try any that works. Let's try the first option, not to allow speed dial to overide the restrictions. It's only for these emergency numbers that we'd like every station to dial but for all other numbers, restrictions apply as set.
I'll work on cm08 to relax speed dial restrictions and see how it goes.

Thanks for your help.

Might I ask why you are suggesting a switch of memory blocks?

If the OP did this he would need to re-enter all his numbers!

what i thing better he use new speed calling system
becouse the number is not too many

to gilekele

200>5>A067
200>6>301
2301>Tenant Ext>A150

Thank

Please don't take what I am about to say the wrong way. Anyone who takes the time to offer help here is truly appreciated. However....

Advising the OP to change memory blocks without explaining why could confuse the issue as he could take your advice without realising the need to re-enter all his speed dials. Also for all we know, the block you are suggesting using could already be in use as personal speed dials and this could lead to the OP wiping out up to 1000 personal speed dials, which he/she would have to then rectify. I understand your reasoning but please bear in mind that the people asking for help may not truly understand what they are doing with our guidance and so we need to tread gently.

That said having not seen you post here before I need to say welcome and please don't be a stranger.

OP: I should also ask if you are aware of the need to backup your changes to the flash rom? If you want to test what you have done before committing to it permenantly, you can wait before saving it to flash and if you aren't happy, simply reset the system to get back to the pre-change state!

A word of warning though, I was recently caught out by the fact that a previous tech hadn't saved his changes to flash. I reset the system and lost changes I hadn't made! Save first, then save last!

If you aren't sure how to do this simply log on then log off and you will be prompted to save as you log off. However a backup to disk before making changes is even better but bear in mind that the backup is from the flash not from the working config!

Thanks OzzieGeorge and Raiijala. I am ever so careful here. Have also learnt the hard way to save changes before logging off..I have up to 300 extensions and can just imagine what might happen when all clients are unable to use their phones at the same time....
I have relaxed the restriction on syst speed dials.

08>044:0
It's still the same.
I am still experimenting with the memory block change and will post back then.

Thanks alot.

Ok so I checked the feature programming manual and CMDs 1202, 1506 & 08 de 044 are the only applicable commands. Whilst the manual doesn't call for it, I would be trying a system reset!
