hi!<br>okay, i have a small problem here. I am trying to ftp to this one server, and for its authentication, it checks my ip and stuff. when i try to connect it says &quot;unknown@dialup45.(my isp name).org, you are not allowed access to this server&quot;. somehow i need to make myslef &quot;appear&quot; to be someone else, like <A HREF="mailto:moocow@betsythecow.edu">moocow@betsythecow.edu</A>. How would i go about doing this?

I can see where you are going there... But I am using the ftp prgram that is with 2000, you know, the command line one? Well, that is the ftp that i am using, bacuse i dont have a username and pasword.

why dont you download a graphical FTP client, if you dont have a username/password, it's going to seed that addy as your anonymous login. you require to have a user/pass for any FTP you try to log onto (only .01% have it as no user password at all, all others use 'anonymous' login, or have a set password) <p>Karl<br><a href=mailto:kb244@kb244.8m.com>kb244@kb244.8m.com</a><br><a href=

if worse comes to worse you can always use explorer.
