Help, I don't deal with our 2000IPS very often (it's no 2400!!) the users just discovered (after 10 months) that they can't dial 411 (9 411) fortunatly 9 911 and 911 work!! I'll be darned if I can find anything in CM 8A4005 or 8A4007...and to me the LCR in the Feature Programming manual is capital Confussing!!! we just pass it out Rt. 20 (the ccis) to a 2400 across the street and out a local trunk. The same as for 911, so Rt. to Rt. in the 2400 is ok.... (I wish it is/was a 2400!!!) Thanks for any help..

In 8a4005 is 1411 programmed? If so, is it in the same pattern as the other area codes?

It is probably built, but in a different pattern so that it can be restricted. You can either put 1411 in the same outgoing pattern as the others, or you can figure out what class of service is needed to dial it.

Doug... another hint (perhaps) there is a fairly long pause after dialing the last "1" (9411) before you get reorder tone, so I looked at number of digits CM 855 it looks fine. I looked at the T-1, and it never siezes a trunk when 9411 is dialled.
List up of CM
8a4005 is: 0 ALREADY ASSIGNED
1 ALREADY ASSIGNED
2 0001
3 0001
4 0001
5 0001
6 0001
7 0001
8 0001
9 0001

There is only one class (15) for all 25 phones, there should be no toll restriction. My mistake, only the 911 and 9911 go out copper trunks accross the street, everything else goes throught the 2400 accross the street then ccis to our "main" 2400 and out, but all of that is goverened by the AFRS/AOPR in the 2400 accross the street.

any other thoughts???? Fred.

1 is 'already assigned', so see what you get when you type in 12, 13, 14, 15, etc. If 14 is 'ALREADY ASSIGNED', check 140, 141, 142, etc. If 141 is 'ALREADY ASSIGNED', check 1411, 1412, etc. If 1411 is in the same pattern as the rest (0001), you know the call is not being restricted by the 2000 (although you should restrict it). If you see something other than 0001 for the data, we'll dig a little deeper.

It sounds like your 2400 is restricting the call, but we'll need to make sure everything is right on the 2000 end first.

Yes, we are doing the routing and 1900 etc. restriction and the true LCR (routing 1st to our own fx trunks) in the "main" 2400. I see, so "already assigned" is the same as "digit request exist" on the 2400!!??!!

ok, in 8A4005 14 is a 0001 and in 8A4005 141 is "WRONG-"
as is 1411

I but they can dial 9 1415 xxx xxxx and it goes out ok.

also, can't dial 9 611, however it's set as 16 is a 0001 as is 19

there is also data in 8A4007 of 1 is a 0020

I did not check to see if a trunk was siezed on the T-1 when I dialed 9 611 but for sure one was not when I dialed 9 411. the AFRS in the "across the street" 2400 is 94 goes out to the "main" 2400, and in the main 94 also goes out a "local trunk". Both 2400 sites can dial 9 411 ok.

Check your 2400 for trunk to trunk restriction. Command ARRC

The 2400 is ok because I use the same Rt.s for all other outside calls, and 911 and they all work... Fred.

Just for giggles, add a # at the end of 91411. If the call is restricted at the 2000, we should get an immediate reorder tone.

It doesn't sound like an LCR issue in the 2000. There might also be a tandem restriction from the 2400 side. Check those tables just in case.

AH HA!!!! It is/was AMND in the closest (actually both) 2400s.... the tables were built as 94 with 12 digits!!! nice short-cut in the original 2400 programming #*#*??#*!!! Program it correctly and guess what.... it works fine!!! I knew I was suspicious when the installation tech put the new 2400 in a couple of years ago and said "I made your tables much shorter and more compact than they were in the old switch"

Thank you one and all for your responses... Fred.
