Hi guys,

I have an issue with a SE deployment running from some weeks.
When I log in using old Manager, make any change and try to save configuration, I get this error message : Error

The problem is that the Manager don't tell which user have a wrong password ...

I tried to decrease password complexity in the security settings but it don't change anything.

I think this is due to some modification made on WebManager that have an impact on the old Manager

Does someone have an idea on how I can debug this issue ?

don't think it is...

You can get an actual Manager by logging in into and go to AppCenter. There you can download AdminLight.

You should never use a Manager with a version below IPO.

The Manager is up-to-date ...

Open the error and warnings pane and look where the passwords don't match the complexity rules.

I've already tried that but I have no error message, only warning !

Then reset the security settings and change all passwords on the login (you will get asked for that)
Did you upgrade from 9.0 or was it a new install?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

You think the password error is for an administrator account (for example Administrator, security ...) ? I was thinking the error was on a regular user

I can open security settings make change and save it without any issue.

It's an installation made with 9.1 and then upgraded to 9.1SP1

Probably not the security settings.

What are the warnings saying? User related?

Kind regards

Gunnar

Most of the warning are related to ICR routing to VMPRO modules.
There is no error/warning/info for users ...

Does someone know if there is a debug mode on Manager ?

Only "debug" I can think of would be to export all of the configuration and open it in Excel.
Use the Text to Column feature in Excel. This makes it easier to spot anything missing.

But this really sounds like a bad config to me, could be the web management messed up something as you stated in the beginning.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Gunnaro, I'm thinking the web manager is the cause of this issue too.
But with 500+ user it quite hard to find out where the error is. Especially when the issue seems to be password related as it is encrypted in csv export.
I will make a try with csv export ...

BTW, have you tried sending a confirmed good config back to the system? (one from before he webmanagement was used)

Kind regards

Gunnar

The customer made a lot of change using Web Manager ...

Try with a new one then, can't get much worse anyway.

Kind regards

Gunnar

I will suggest this to my wife but I'm not sure she will be ok.

For the config part, my IPO is in production with 500+ user ... I cannot use a new config. I really need to solve this issue without any disruptive action

Downgrade to R9.0.5 (serious here). This is similar to the no more than 300 hunt groups crap on 9.1 software

I'm clear but my fighter is down.

In the error pane you usually see only warnings and errors for one single IPO. There is a drop down box to chose which errors to show. Change that to all instead of a single system and you should see the errors you have to look for...
