We have an IP Office 500V2 running 8.1(43) at customers site A.
We are getting severe clipping on calls to and from the remote locations.
Customer also has site B with 3 users with 9620 phones and Site C with 2 9620 phones. The phones are not in VPN mode. They are using the tunnel to communicate.
Site A has a Sonicwall TZ210W and Site B and C have Sonicwall TZ100W's. Site A is using 9508 digital phones and is not experiencing any call quality issues, only the IP phones at the remote locations.
Each remote site is connected via VPN's. Broadband connections are 50 by 10 and are all on the same carrier, so we do not think that is the issue.
Ping tests to remote locations show around 20ms, but about 10 percent of the time it will go up to 140-150ms.
We have set up the routers by the book with Sonicwall, but we are still missing something here.
We have a number of other installations using Sonicwall and other brand routers that work well, so we are wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and what the solution might be.
SIP transformations and multicast is turned off in all locations.
