iPod - USB - USB2

Hi there,
I want to buy an iPod (I'm fad-vulnerable ) and I have a PC laptop with USB 1.1 ports. I know that, for the iPod, one must have USB2 ports on computer.
My questions are:
1. Can I use the iPod with the USB 1.1 port if I dont care about the speed of uploading of MP3's into the iPod?
2. Will I be able to see the file names (of the MP3 files) on the iPod screen if I will upload them using the iPod software (I guess that's iTunes)?
