We currently have a customer who has an IPO500 at their main location with a VPN for their other 12 locations to connect to via SonicWall at each remote site. We've been moving the remote sites over to the IPO and eliminating their analog lines coming into their offices. The issue we are having is calling from site to site. We can call in and out all day long at each site and even call the main location by extension number where the IPO is housed, but cannot call site to site by extension. Each site just has an IP phone and no IPO. Just looking for some solid answers on how and why. Thanks.

So the remote ip phones cannot call each other by extension number.

Do the phones ring and you have no audio when they call each other?

Yes! Exactly! I guess I should of posted that in my first post. Haha.

Turn off Direct Media path for those extensions :)

Do you allow VPN sites 2 sites or just only from sites back to Main ?

amriddle has your likely cure. If that does work then you have network routing issues. You may have to enter in a return route into IPO for each remote subnet.

You should review your networking routing.
