IP Office Release 6.1 will be supported on the following control units: IP406v2 (64Mb PCS 8 and later), IP412, IP500, IP500v2

How do I check and see if it's 64Mb PCS 8 or later?

Open monitor and let it run for a while.
Then search for "freemen" and a number.
That number must be 8 digits and it looks like this: 43234567
When it is 7 digits then you can't upgrade to 4.0 and higher.
So:
8 digits OK
7 digits NOT OK

Yeah same here...thanks for the info. I have version 6.0(8)
So I just might upgrade.

Transmitter, you are already on 6.0
You already run on 4.0 and higher.
4.0 is so much bigger then 3.2 that there was more memory needed.
So when you are on 4.0 or higher then there is no need to check.

What it was when i run the upgrade bit it says im on 4.2 on the 406v2 and it has I can goto 6.0(8).
Its good to know im not on a low memory version even thou it has pcs07 on the back...but i think this unit was near the change to pcs08..

PCS7 is where it all changed.
Some ate 16mb and some are 64mb.
Keep in mind that tge 406 needs to go to 5.0.999 first before going to 6.x

ahhh right thanks for that. I dont have that version only the one that has 6.x. Or is it a case that that version is included in the newer build that I have or do I need to download from someware?

Thanks

G

It is on the admin CD
There is a folder called 5.0.999
In there is the bootloader.
