Has anyone done just a physical hardware upgrade to a voicemail server. We are having problems with the existing server and would like to move the installation to a Win 10 desktop.
Anyone have the definitive steps, or the hazards to watch out for?

I'd appreciate it.

Install software on new server, disable firewall, run immediate backup on existing server, use it to restore to new server, swap IP addresses or change voicemail destination IP address in IPO.

Tell me will that save all greetings and names or will they become unlinked to the vmail box?

If you check the parameters on the save, you will get all message, greetings, names, voicemail call flow, and wavs.

You can also export the call flow from the old and import/Save and Make Live on the new. Make the change so that the new voicemail is active. This will create BLANK Account folders for each User. Rename the auto-generated blank Accounts / Greetings / Names folders to zAccouts / zGreetings / zNames. Now copy over the custom WAVs for the modules, and copy over the Accounts, Names, and Greetings folders, then restart the voicemail service to re-index the Account folders and messages.
