I have a IPO500 V1 upgraded from 7.x to 7.1.31 and VM Pro which was at 6.something to 7.0.32.

VM Pro no longer works from internal IP extensions on the same subnet nor does AA work when calling from outside to the SIP trunks. Outgoing SIP calls are fine. By not work, I mean that you get dead air.

Things I have tried:
1. Checking/unchecking Direct Media Path on the VOIP tab of the extension.
2. Putting the IP phone (1616) on the same physical switch as the IPO.
3. Hitting *17 from the IP phone which gives me the expected screen for VM but no audio. It should be noted that Visual Voice shows the menu, but again no audio.
4. Spinning up a VM and installing VMPro fresh and running AvayaFW_Updated. Still same thing.

It should be noted that when I take a digital extension and hit *17, I get Audrey Audix as expected.

Anyone have any ideas? My Disty and I are fresh out of ideas on this one.

Thanks!

Release 7.1 ?????

No Audio on the phones, could be also a problem with the server you are running the VM Pro on,

your voice VLAN is the same IP range as the IPO and the voicemail?

Can you ping a phone from the voicemail?

Upgrade license OK?
IP endpoint license OK?
Preferred License OK?

just typing while I talk out loud here but giving it a shot.

Joe,

I created a fresh Windows 7 VM and installed VM Pro there and pointed the IPO to it. Still no good.

I am able to ping the phone from the VM Pro box.

Software Upgrade License 2 and 3 show as obsolete. Software Upgrade License 4 shows valid.
IP endpoint looks ok
Preferred looks ok.

Any other ideas?

What does monitor say?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

After I posted the above, the only other thing I could come up with was a corrupt config.

I exported the licenses and wiped the unit. I re-created the config for a single phone and NOTHING.

I decided as a last ditch effort to pull power from the IPO and like PFM (Pure F'in Magic), IT WORKED!!!

I then put in the normal config and all is good.

I guess the soft reset wasn't enough....

Wow, and again like so many times before a reboot fixes weird stuff with the IPO.
Good that it works.
