has anyone ever been able to get a UC-Module working as a distributed voicemail on version 8.x ?
IP500v2 version 8.0(53) at both sites
Site A
IP500v2 8.0(53)
Windows 2008 server running voicemail pro 8.0(1011)
Setup IIS on windows for both internal and external SMTP communication.
setup host file on Windows 2008 server for UC-Module fqdn otherwise don't know how it would work as it must be a fqdn and not an ip address for SMTP settings.
I can ping FQDN and telnet to port 25 as well ( seeing 220 reponse )from UC-Module and Voicemail Pro Server 2008
site B
IP500v2 8.0(53)with UCM
configured as distributed using SCN ip trunkto Site A ( left voice ip address as the internal one UCM uses by default )
went through the install docs a few times and not sure if and what I might be missing.
I can telnet to both servers on port 25 and receive the SNMP welcome message with the hostname in the HELO message
Voicemail B says "distributed voicemail" when I log in using the admin client.
Voicemail A does not display any 'distributed voicemail' servers in the list
Information does not replicate
seeing posts about this having issues and or not working on version 8.x
just never see the two systems repond to one anther more so Site A never acknowledges or is aware that Site B is a distributed / not in sync more or less.
at this point we would be better off just going SCN / Centralized
cheers
