IPO Server Edition Time on Primary

I have an IPO Server Ed. 9.1.4 with 5 500V2s. I have 400 9608/9611 registered to the primary. The IP phones' time is 5 minutes off from the real time and the time on the NTP server which is local. How do I change either the time on the Primary or change where it looks for its time? I do have the ntp server set in the Web Manager in System/System/Settings but the primary is not taking that time.

If your Primary can talk to your NTP server the time should be good.
Your 500V2's should be pointed to your Primary IP
Your phones will not sync %100 but if I remember correclty they should not drift more than a minute before asking for time again.

That's the problem. The Primary is not talking to the ntp server.

IP Office does SNTP, not NTP*. There is a difference (and yes, the Manager manual is kinda confusing on that)

(*it can do NTP with a Windows Voicemail Pro server but that doesn't help with an SE primary).

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

· NTP Servers
This field is used to enter the IP address of an NTP server or servers which should be used when Enable
Network Time Protocol is selected. Enter each address as a separate line. The network administrator or
ISP may have an NTP server for this purpose. A list of publicly accessible NTP servers is available at

however it is your responsibility to make sure you
are aware of the usage policy for any servers you choose. Choosing several unrelated NTP servers is
recommended in case one of the servers you are using becomes unreachable or its clock is unreliable.
The operating system uses the responses it receives from the servers to determine which are reliable. · The IP Office system can also use NTP to obtain its system time. Using the same servers for the IP
Office Server Edition and IP Office system is recommended.

· Set the current time and date for the server. For Server Edition Primary Server and one-X Portal for IP Office
servers, the option to Use NTP and set the address of the NTP Server from which to get the time and date
are available. · For servers other than the ones only hosting the one-X Portal for IP Office application, the companding setting
to be used must be selected. Typically µ-Law (also referred to as U-Law and Mu-Law) is used for telephone
systems in North American locations and Japan. A-Law is used for most other locations, though you should
check.
