Hi

I am connecting an IP500v2 to a SE this weekend. The customer wants the local phones to register to the IP500v2 and not the SE.

Do I need any Ip endpoints on the IP500 v2??

Nick

No you don't but why do they want to do that?
Keep in mind that the users need to be configured on the server and not on the IP500v2.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

The remote site is in the US and they don't want to use the link for phones connecting back in london

That is a valid reason :)

You also will have failover for your 500V2 to SE now.

It's only dialtone!!!

Hi
Just a quick question on this-

Do all Ip endpoint licenses sit on the SE even if the extension are going to be sitting on the IP500

Nick

I did answer but my answer is gone.
All the licenses are located on the server edition itself except for licenses like pri channels.
