IPO R9 With Windstream Sip Trunks

Hi

Just wondering if any techs out there can help me regarding seting up sip trunks with Windstream.

The info they keep giving me is different from the doc on the avaya website as they keep telling me that I dont need stun setup.

I can ping the adren router the IPO is plugged into but I cant ping there SBC but I understand that is correct and I shouldnt be able to ping it.

They have changed there mind so many times and the trunks have been chnaged for registration to non registration so mant times that I get the feeling they dont even know what there doing.

I have a ITSP domain and a proxy address which they have given me and its the same but the Doc says different

Any help from any of you techs that work with windsteam from day to day would be good

I have done a bunch of winstream set ups and never used STUN on it. I always use NONE on the network topology and use IP routes to direct traffic at the windstream network. You will not be able to ping the SBC on the far end but you should be able to ping .1 and .2 on the winstream network. 10.250.0.1 and 2 in a lot of cases.

What do you put in the ITSP domain and the sip proxy. Is it the same IP?!

Yes i have always put in the windstream IP in both of those. 10.250.0.5

If the domain and proxy is the same IP you can typically do away with the proxy setting (leave it blank), as then a proxy isn't even being used anyway

Windstream keep changing there minds.

Everything is pingable .1.2 and as you say you cant ping .5 but they never see any invites or options coming through.

Does anything else need to change on the front page of the sip tab??
