Hello all,

I have a lovely customer that is running an IPO 500v2 on R7.0 with Analog Trunking (we have now quoted them 3 times to upgrade over a 6yr period, yet here we are)

Anyway, they are now stating that over the past week:

"Usually after dialing the number we just hear a click and dead air. Then we retry to dial the phone numbers and they will ring and the patients will answer. Not sure why the first dial out drops but it happens frequently throughout the day."

I am not seeing any SSA Alarms. This customer is across the country from me, so I cannot go on-site to take a look. Thoughts?

Sounds like either one of the analog trunks is bad or a bad analog trunk port. The IPO chooses a different analog trunk to dial out on each time. If one of the trunks is bad it would cause the problem the customer is having. If you have access to the programming of this system put line appearance buttons of the trunks on one of the phones and have the user access each to see if there is dial tone. I suspect one of the buttons will not provide dial tone. If they all do then have the customer place a call on each one to see if one of them will not process an outgoing call.
