Got a customer who wants to ring two phones at the front desk simultaneously (x101 and x102), but end up on one phones VM.

Tried calling groups, hunt groups, neither goes to voicemail. Finally found Twinning and was able to ring both phones together and have it go to one of their VMs should they not answer.

Come to find out, the extension that's twinned to x101 receives the calls on its Intercom key and so can't transfer the call like normal.

To break it down...a call comes into the AA, 0 option transfers to x101. x101 is twinned to x102.

Seems like Twinning is the only way to do what they want, but they need to be able to transfer calls on the secondary phone...any thoughts?

You need an open intercom (call appearance) button to perform a transfer. That's why normally they give (3) call appearances to phones to avoid an issue of not being able to transfer.

Sorry, forgot to specify phone types...the originating phone is a 1416 digital phone while the "problematic" phone is an 18D Partner phone.

Call comes in the 18D's intercom button. The right intercom key is still available, but the user isn't able to transfer with it.

Also, none of the phones have call appearances like normal IPO. They have line appearances. Key system...
