Hoping for some help on this one.

I've got an IPO all 9_0_4 with linux VMpro and MAPI proxy and I can't seem to get the IMS working correctly.

The IPO config has the users email address and vmail set to forward. The messages get to the exchange server and can be heard via email client on a PC. I cannot get them to play on the phone via the dial function in the email and they are not retrievable from the phone either after they've been sent to exchange. Also no message light on the phone. I followed all the setup guides step by step but something is obviously missing or configured incorrectly.

Thanks!

Are you sure you don't mean UMS? IMS is a much older beast with very different setup from UMS.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Forward voicemails via email will NEVER light the message light as the message is not stored.
You are not talking about IMS or UMS you are talking about simply email with a .wav attachment, try to play it from a PC and you will see that your phone can just not handle the .wav format. You need to download an app that can do that.

I bet you have an iphone :) as some OS' will not support .wav files and you definitely need an app to do that for you

The dial part you speak of is part of Exchange Messaging for UMS. You will need UMS licensed users, Enterprices CALs for exchange users, and a crap load of luck to get it working. Can't remember the minimum version of exchange for support. (I believe a few have tried and failed, but I haven't for a very ling time).

Like Westi says, you have VM>emails setup, not integrated messaging at all, and this will not light the light on the phone because the message has left that particualr building.

Try using voicemail Copy and turn off the exchange stuff.
