IPO ATM4 & 16 CO Trunks don't clear down (Disconnect)

We normally work with ISDN trunks on the IPO and NA, recently we have had a couple of IP Office installs with ATM Modules. We are finding that in some cases when a call goes to voice mail it fails to disconnect when the incoming party has completed the call.

Can any one explain how the IPO detects the caller has hung up and therefor disconnects the CO line.

I need to know what settings need to be changed on the 1.4 manager and if we need to ask the Telecom supplier for clear forward answer release etc.

make sure that the carrier has set a disconnect clear time (800ms) seems to be standard
 
Or maybe your carrier do not provide forwarding disconnect signal. If so ,You may need to config "Busy Tone Disconnect" in your System tab. IPO will disconnect analog trunk after 10 busy tones if the busy tone carrier provided matchs what you have set.
 
On the line form/ analog tab make sure "disconnect clear" has a check next to enable. The default is not checked. When it is not checked the trunk will not clear down!
